This blog is not recommending this surgery to everyone, it may not even be necessary and it's never a guaranteed fix. Like anything, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. If you aren't getting any trouble then do not rush for the surgical option, it may be an unnecessary amount of effort, for me it made sense, I was in agony, anything was better.
In addition I appreciate that everyone's experience will be different, this blog is solely here to be informative and ideally positive for others scheduled to have this or who have just had this or are thinking about having this.
